READ THE BIG PIECES

Weird Dream

I had a dream I was sleeping, but woke up for some reason (in the dream). When I looked around, there were some wolves in my room. Mostly grey/white, but one black wolf.

My first reaction was panic, but they weren’t hostile. Actually, they were quite docile. The black wolf came up to me and laid on me to keep me from getting up, while the other wolves went to “play” with Jacob.

The suddenly changed from being adult wolves to pups.

I don’t remember the black wolf getting up, but suddently I was up and feeding these baby wolves and playing with them and trying to keep them from wandering off.

FF to being in a room with some strange woman holding a snake. She folded the snake in half, wrapped it around her shoulders and then spun in a circle. The snake folded in half again when she held it out to me and she told me it was now safe.

WTF?

Looked up some key symbols…

Wolf

To see a wolf in your dream, symbolizes beauty, solitude, mystery, self-confidence and pride. It is also a symbol of survival. You are able to keep your composure in a variety of social situations and can blend in with any situation with ease and grace. You are a loner by choice. Negatively, the wolf represents hostility and aggression. It may reflect an uncontrollable force or situation in your life.

To see a white wolf in your dream, then it signifies valor and victory. You have the ability to see the light even in your darkest hours.

To dream that you kill a wolf, indicates betrayal and secrets being revealed.

Restrained

To dream that you are restrained, indicates that you are holding yourself back and not fully expressing yourself. The dream may also be a reflection of the actual state of your body, known as REM paralysis.

Note: the cat was probably laying on my back at this point while I was sleeping.

Puppy

To see a puppy in your dream, symbolizes your playfulness and carefree nature. It also represents a blossoming friendship or that your friendships will grow stronger.

To see a litter of newborn puppies in your dream, is indicative of the amount of time that an idea has been developing or will take to develop. Look to the number of puppies to give you that approximate amount of time.

To dream that you are taking care of some puppies, indicates that you are a trustworthy and loyal friend especially in difficult times.

Snake

To see a snake or be bitten by one in your dream, signifies hidden fears and worries that are threatening you. Your dream may be alerting you to something in your waking life that you are not aware of or that has not yet surfaced. Alternatively, the snake may be seen as phallic and thus symbolize temptation, dangerous and forbidden sexuality. If you are afraid of the snake, then it signifies your fears of sex, intimacy or commitment. The snake may also refer to a person around you who is callous, ruthless, and can’t be trusted. As a positive symbol, snakes represent healing, transformation, knowledge and wisdom. It is indicative of self-renewal and positive changes.

To see the skin of a snake in your dream, represents protection from illnesses.

  1. I think it’s interesting that there was a transformation going on, in that something initially terrifying was changed into something nonthreatening. But I notice that you didn’t do the transforming; it happened as you watched. I wonder if that carries over in a hope that somehow something will get better, something you don’t feel you have the power to make better yourself?
